“Boop has managed to curate an impressive collection of weird westernage into this second installment of his Straight Outta series.

Straight Outta Dodge City (Weird Western), Baen, 2020
“It is through tales like the examples of stellar storytelling [in SODC] that a reader can catch a glimpse of human beings’ actions throughout often vile, often joyous, situations. To empathize like this is a valuable undertaking, as a writer and as a reader. Straight Outta Dodge City makes it not only worthwhile, but great, fulfilling, fun.” – SFRevu

To Whom it May Concern,
Dave Boop was a very solid editor to work with. When he had questions, he asked them in a respectful manner that encouraged creative collaboration and ended up making for a stronger story. He also remembered, as so many editors do not, to mention what he felt was strong about the piece, rather than focusing on his ideas. So many editors are frustrated writers, seeking to express their creativity through influencing others. Since Dave is a writer with his own credentials, he doesn’t have these issues, which is another plus. I would definitely work with him in the future.
Sincerely,
Jane Lindskold
NYTimes bestselling author, and contributor to Boop’s anthology Straight Outta Deadwood
